Privacy & Cookies Notice
Last updated: 2026-07-12
Beamemory ("we", "us") runs a wedding-planning workspace: timeline, budget, guest list, and a private invitation page for every guest. This notice explains what information we collect, why, and what we do — and don't do — with it.
What we collect
When you create an account and a wedding project:
- Account details — first name, last name, nickname, email, phone number, gender.
- Wedding details — wedding date, wedding name, and anything you add to the planning tools: guest list and RSVPs, budget, vendor quotations, expenses and payment plans, checklist items, reminders, wedding-day timeline, and any files or receipts you upload.
- Partner & team info — the email and role of a partner, assistant, or agency you invite to your project.
- Basic technical data — sign-in activity and error logs, kept only to run and secure the service (through our infrastructure provider, Supabase).
If you start creating an account but don't finish, we still keep the "About you" details you'd already entered (name, contact info, wedding date) so you don't have to start over if you come back — this is the only information we hold before you actually have an account.
What we use it for
Entirely to run the features you're using: showing your timeline, tracking your budget, managing your guest list, sending the confirmation and invitation emails you trigger, and letting the people you invite (partner, assistant, agency) collaborate on your project.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not publish your name, your guests' names, or any of your wedding's details publicly. Only you and the people you explicitly invite to your project can see your project's data.
Future: anonymized, aggregate insights
We're considering using budget and vendor data — combined across all couples using Beamemory, and never tied to your name, your guests, or your specific wedding — to surface general planning insights back to everyone, such as:
If we build this, it will only ever show summarized numbers like the example above — never your name, your guest list, your vendors, or anything that identifies you or your wedding individually.
Cookies & local storage
We use the minimum necessary to keep you signed in and the app working smoothly — no third-party advertising or tracking cookies:
- A sign-in session token (via our authentication provider, Supabase), so you stay logged in between visits.
- A few small values in your browser's local storage — such as an in-progress signup you haven't finished yet, or which of your projects you last viewed — purely so the app remembers where you left off.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-friendly bot check used on our sign-up and sign-in forms so real people (not spam scripts) can use the site.
How long we keep it
We keep your project's data for as long as your account is active. Data retention after a plan ends or a project is closed depends on your plan tier; email us if you'd like your data deleted sooner.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest through our infrastructure provider (Supabase). Access to your project's data is restricted to you and whoever you've explicitly invited — enforced at the database level, not just in the app's interface.
Your choices
You can review or update your details anytime in Settings. To request a copy of your data, ask us to correct something, or have your account and data deleted, email us — see below.
Changes to this notice
If this notice changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know directly.
